Bluffing is most often considered a poker term, like other games, the common tactics are useful in card games as well. However, for the game of poker, bluffing is usually applicable to bet or raise the lowest hand of the player. One obvious goal of the bluffs is to win the game by applying the tactics and make other players realize that that the bluffer has the superior cards. This can be used as an impression to demoralize the opponent so that they can fold their hand and the bluffer get the advantage of winning the pot.

Bluffing styles

Stone cold bluff: a stone cold bluff or pure bluff is a bet or raise when you are in inferior hands that have a small or no chance of improving. A player make a this type of bluff when he can win the pot only if all opponent folds.

Semi-bluff: in this bluffing, a player can win the pot in two different ways: by catching a card to improve the player’s hand or by all opponents folds there card instantly.

Opposite stone cold bluff: it is an opposite of the stone cold bluff. In this you are representing and bluffing a weak hand when you have a big one.

Bluffing Strategy

Bluffing is normally considered as part of Expert and prominent Strategy. Undoubtedly, you cannot be a successful player, if you do not understand bluff in poker. It is said that bluffing is not an easy job, because it requires a good poker guts, sense, and timing to drag it off. It can be scary, embarrassing and frightening when you are caught, but also satisfying and exciting at the same time as you get away with it.

Bluffing is often taken as a profitable scheme to win by the players. Bluffing is like eating vegetables, it is good for you though a bit distasteful. Don’t feel of is like candy, something fun, because over fun will make you ill to your stomach/bankroll.
